ECaBaM WS 2

The second ECaBaM workshop was held on 28-29 October 2024. It aimed at bringing together ECHA, Commission and industry representatives to discuss key issues regarding substances under the Battery Regulation, including prioritisation, issues that OEMs and Battery producers face, as well as waste and recycling, and how to take socioeconomic aspects into consideration.

The attendance was limited to technical experts working on the batteries in scope (e.g., metal associations providing materials for those, battery manufacturers and recyclers).
