Frit Chemicals
Frit is an inorganic UVCB substance, result as the reaction product of melting at high temperature, and then rapidly quenching, a mixture of inorganic raw materials. During the manufacturing process, chemical bonds of the raw materials are broken, and the elements are rearranged and ionically inter-diffused within the vitreous lattice (amorphous structure).
Frits are used in the production of glazes for the coating of ceramic articles (such as tiles) or may be used in a number of technical applications (such as sealing electronics or other specialist applications).
